Cadaver 03:18
I fell hard onto concrete pillows crippled from black liver to lungs a victim to indescriminate a witty repertoire of a foe we ain't found nothing better yet we are desperate and ever deadly living gridlocked, our intellect countered we are living high and still diluted and spreading thin as the lines we're crossing now consolidate the sharpest scripts discover common enemies intoxicate and re-enter but I hate every one of these people every goddamn one of these people God, there ain't nothing better left we've got our arguements rehearsed sincerity inside a clinched fist we dragged the lake looking for any little flaw and all the while there was a cadaver in the pint glass
2.
Investment 03:44
This is not at all what it seems nevermind the bloody mess and bits of bone I am quite capable of sobering up it's just a matter of priority catalyst, derationalize my current long term investment in putting all my energy into sleeping in eyelids remain cauterized until further say there are spiders in my mattress and my limbs defend in vain my ego suffers from a lack of malleability transition from ecstatic to sad bastard will result in a break August of '03, I saw some better days less ambiguity and substance abuse at bay I still stand amazed at the shit that falls off my tongue I've evolved to counteract any forward progression I've evolved to counteract forward progression investment in digression

A shotgun to the teeth held virtue to vanity pull the trigger, you coward I've been waiting pull the trigger, you coward show your guts are intact you better be dead goddamn on because you've got just one shot and I've got my hand on a hair trigger fire out barrel mouth pull it 'til it clicks drop like sarcasm from liars with black tar teeth pull it 'til it clicks drop like my heart from my throat to my feet just lay 'em all out our tongues drip the sweet stinch of arrogance your spine is turning amorphous and there's one in the chamber if you've got the nerve we all got shit we ain't proud of go belly up if exposed our closet doors hang ashamed nearly coming unhinged sing out the sarcasm our blackened hearts are beating faster
4.
Scholar 03:26
They have constructed a factory to appear abandoned, establish a scene they hang up relics like images of Christ gauranteed to evoke a timeless guilt I became a lifelong advocate of the never dying art of being pretentious cataloging weaknesses calculating all response equipped to protest deconstruct down to minute details 'til the skins inside out, fucking spleen exposed open my bone cage pierced to the root four years of training to reference obscurities perpetuate conventional well goddamnit cataloging weaknesses calculating all response
5.
In Red 03:10
It seems I've lost my head but all I've found are two eager razorblades pray for will to refrain from sticking in your neck or carving out your eyes to streak the corpse in red with wrists bound to the wall I said I'll smash your pretty face if that's what it takes to keep you by my side and I'm hoping you won't break my heart but know I'll slit your skinny throat when and if you do crooked shitface smile locked in a staring contest draw I'd say your face is fine but your wrists could use a shave so choke down gasoline and crack open your ribs allow your lungs to breathe I traded in your halo for a lighter and set your wings on fire today my bed's in flames so I'm saving you a place sleep tight, sweetheart it seems I've lost my head

Funny Like A Funeral Greensboro, North Carolina

FLAF formed in late 2008 in Greensboro, NC. Consisted of ex-members of Knives Exchanging Hands, Farewell, En Serenade, My Hero is Me. They busted onto the NC scene with loads of energy, catchy guitar riffs and dark lyrics. Toured the midwest and eastern coast of the US extensively in 2009 and 2010 and named the "Best new band of 2010" by Yes! Weekly. The band called it quits in May of 2011. ... more
